The Plot

The movie, Trail Of Blood On The Trail,  follows a good-hearted  guy named Brad (Brett Erickson).  Brad believes he has the perfect surprise marriage proposal planned.  Unfortunately for Brad, he doesn’t know his girlfriend Ava as well as he thinks.   His  plan includes biking to a tunnel of love where a clown (Joe Roderick) will be waiting to pop the question.  What starts out as a romantic bike trip for two turns out to be a hellish trek for survival on a trail of blood.  As Brad and Ava make their way down the bike trail, they are completely oblivious to the zombie apocalypse that is picking up steam around them.  One zombie in particular (Jake Van Hoorn) seems to have his un-beating heart set on devouring everybody on the trail.

The Characters

Brett Erickson portrays Brad as a good hearted doofus. Brad is so wrapped up in his own ideas and plans that he has completely misread what his girlfriend likes and finds romantic.  Brad is under the impression that his girlfriend loves bike rides and clowns. His whole plan is to bike to an isolated tunnel of love where a clown will surprise them with the engagement ring.

Ava is a young, no-nonsense woman in a relationship she knows doesn’t have a future.  Underneath the surface, she has the feeling Brad doesn’t really know her.  As the day continues and the relationship weakens, the zombies are just another obstacle to overcome on the trip from hell.

The Clown (Joe Roderick) is a hired hand in Brad’s proposal scheme.

Our uber-flannel wearing zombie played by Jake Van Hoorn takes us through a number of vicious attacks on a variety of trail goers.  We don’t know anything about what he was like before the virus hit.

The stoners (Drift Roberts and Jeff Bailey) are a couple of lovable mushroom salesmen that are just trying to make enough cash to move out of grandma's house.
